Interactive Voting Systems

Audience participation is a very important part of corporate presentations these days.  Allowing audience members to vote using the latest technology can be an efficient and convenient way of making an event fully interactive.  This is why electronic interactive voting systems have become so popular.

Interactive voting is important during events such as annual general meetings and in some TV game shows.  However many other events can also benefit from interactive voting systems.  During a presentation a speaker can make sure that their audience is kept alert by occasionally asking for audience members to take a vote on a specific topic.

The technology needed for a working interactive response system, as interactive voting systems are also known, is fairly simple and does not need to be expensive or difficult to install.  The system consists of a receiver, computer software, and interactive keypads which function as the voting devices.  Whenever the audience is asked to vote on a particular issue they access the interactive response system by entering their choice in the keypad.

Advantages of interactive response systems compared to voting by a show of hands or by marking a paper are several.  One of the most important benefits of interactive voting is that the votes can be tallied almost instantaneously which enhances the interactive experience: presenters can feed back the voting results as and when needed.

In addition an interactive voting system is an easy way of making sure that voters have completely anonymity, interactive voting occurs electronically so none of the audience members nor the presenter are aware of the individual voting choices.
