A group of undecided voters each have a handset on which they
register approval/ disapproval or neutral feelings constantly
throughout the debates. The output of each handset creates a live
"worm" graph throughout the debate, showing a total positive or
negative rating for the audience appreciation.
What is The Worm?
Put simply, it’s a tracker that charts the opinions of your
audience during a live presentation or speech and then displays the
results on-screen.
How does it work?
Each person in the audience has an electronic handset with
voting buttons. They use the handset to rate what they see and hear
during the presentation or speech. The ratings are then collected,
an average is taken, and The Worm displays the results on a
worm-graph, displaying the thoughts of your audience in real-time
and letting you know whether they like what they see or not.
Where else has The Worm been used?
The Worm has been used in televised election debates in
Australia and the recent 2010 UK political debates, Click
here to view how the Worm was utilised as well as at
the 2009 political party conferences. Click

Worm used at the Leaders Debates
After three sometimes heated, sometimes exciting
and always educational debates, the valiant Worm has wriggled its’
way along a distance of 0.2 miles: the circumference of both Aston
Villa’s football pitch and Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester, or the
height of 10 Cabot Towers in Bristol.
Mostly symbolically, the distance is the same as walking from the
Houses of Parliament to 10 Downing Street.
